Every month, FamilySmart hosts events for parents and caregivers who are parenting a child or youth with a mental health and/or substance use challenge. We watch a video, take part in a discussion with a FamilySmart Parent Peer Support Worker, and connect with other parents and caregivers. In The Know events currently take place online.

Say Don't Say: What Youth with Mental Health Challenges Really Want from Parents and Caring Adults

Knowing what kids really need from the caring adults in their lives when experiencing mental health challenges is vital for their well-being. This 'in the know' shares lessons from a Youth-in-Residence with personal lived experiences and helps us understand how to best support youth in times of need. To watch the video and join a discussion with other families, learn more and register at familysmart.ca/event/maple-ridge-and-pitt-meadows-say-dont-say-what-youth-with-mental-health-challenges-really-want-from-parents-and-caring-adults/.
