Depression and anxiety problems may be difficult, but you don't have to deal with them on your own. In this series, learn more about depression and anxiety, and see how you can find help and feel better.

Depression

Depression affects your mood—the way you feel. You may feel very low, sad, or hopeless. Changes in your mood can cause big changes in other parts of your life. It's more than a bad day, or even a bad week.

Learn about depression

You might be navigating a lot of big changes: graduating high school, pursuing post-secondary education, leaving home, starting a career, and more. Some of these changes are exciting, and some may be a bit scary or overwhelming. Any change can be stressful, and stress can have a big impact on your mood. It’s normal to feel sad or low from time to time, but feeling low or sad most of time may be a sign that you need extra support. Read Learn about Depression.

Anxiety

Anxiety is a normal and expected response to a difficult situation. Anxiety is simply your body’s way of telling us that there is danger. “Threats” aren’t always physical. They include important deadlines at work or school, conflicts with loved ones, or financial worries. However, too much anxiety too often can start to cause harm and stop you from getting the most out of life.

Learn about Anxiety

We all experience anxiety from time to time. While we might dream of a life without worry or anxiety, a little bit of anxiety is a good thing—it’s even helpful in the right situations. However, too much anxiety too often can take a real toll on our well-being. We can’t avoid anxiety or ignore it forever, but we can learn how to manage anxiety so we can live well through the ups and downs of life. Read Learn about Anxiety.
